Island of La Maddalena
The island of La Maddalena is the eldest sister among about 60 islands and islets that make up the archipelago off the northeast coast of Sardinia, former Italian and American military base. Founded in 1770, it is the only inhabited center of the archipelago. In the paved alleys of the town center, 18th-century buildings, such as the town hall and the parish church of Santa Maria Maddalena, overlook shops, restaurants, and bars that wind their way to the seafront through a charming promenade. In the port of Cala Gavetta stands a column with the effigy of Giuseppe Garibaldi, who spent the last 26 years on Caprera, connected to La Maddalena by the Passo della Moneta.

porto rafael
Nestled in the northern part of Sardinia, Porto Rafael is an enchanted toutrist destination surrounded by pristine beaches. Founded in 1960 by the Spanish Count Rafael Neville, Porto Rafael features a romantic square and white houses. Small, refined boutiques, bars, and restaurants unfold from the heart of the village, making it a summer venue for renowned events. On August 11th, a special event takes place in the square: participants, dressed in white, dance in honor of the founding count. The small marina is an ideal destination for both small and large boats, as well as a departure point due to its proximity to the archipelago.

porto cervo
Undisputed capital of the Costa Smeralda, Porto Cervo is a hamlet of Arzachena. The old port dates back to the 1960s when Prince Karim Aga Khan IV, captivated by the local beauty, decided to purchase the lands of this corner of Gallura. In the 1980s, the construction of the new port began, becoming one of the largest and most equipped in the Mediterranean. Around the small square, a maze of narrow streets, windows, balconies, and shops with prestigious brands unfolds. Surrounding it all are restaurants, luxury hotels, and trendy places, the epicenter of the nightlife on the coast, while immersed in the Mediterranean vegetation are its splendid villas overlooking the sea.

poltu quatu
Poltu Quatu" in the local dialect means "hidden port," and this is precisely the main characteristic of the most charming port in Northern Sardinia. The natural canal that forms Poltu Quatu is bordered by walls of granite rock and dense vegetation that hide from prying eyes the beauty of Poltu Quatu. The boats entering and leaving the port are a spectacle not to be missed and can be admired from the romantic square that also hosts restaurants and places for shopping and nightlife. Located halfway between Baia Sardinia and Porto Cervo, Poltu Quatu is another ultra-chic destination on the Costa Smeralda.
